Born in the desert, Jay Dee Scrivener became obsessed with literature at a young age.

By high school, she averaged reading a book a week and dreamed of becoming a novelist.

Now, Jay Dee lives somewhere between the Waking World and the DreamWorld, collecting fragments of fear, wonder, and memory to shape her stories.

She writes dark fantasy rooted in human truth, always searching for the light that flickers inside even the darkest nights.

When she isn’t exploring nightmares on the page, she can be found wandering dive bars, enjoying live music, or dissecting dreams over a greasy breakfast burrito.
